Inter-relationships between water depletion and temperature differential in row crop canopies in a sub-humid climate

Irrigation has a great impact on global food security as it contributes to the majority of world’s agricultural supply. It is essential judiciously utilize water resources through efficient irrigation management since U.S. groundwater aquifers are rapidly depleting. Thus, quantification relationships between depletion and environmental factors important for understanding crop response varying levels stresses that can cause. The objectives this research were to: 1) investigate relationship root zone (D rw ) canopy temperature differential (ΔT) at different ranges D ; 2) develop upper (water stressed) lower (non-water baselines stress index (CWSI) in sub-humid climate. was conducted over maize soybean during 2018, 2019, 2020 growing seasons. Sensor node stations comprising an infrared thermometer three soil sensors installed various sites fields.
